The sign also includes clear text in both Swedish and English stating that the equipment is intended only for life-saving purposes and that misuse may put lives at risk.
In accordance with Swedish SRVFS 2007:5, it is also recommended that a unique service number be displayed on the sign, helping maintenance teams and emergency services quickly identify each station.
The location sign is included as standard in all Shore Safety life raft stations, rescue stations, hook stations, and fire cabinet stations. Installation
Position the ladder so it is visible from as many angles as possible. The ladders are to be placed 25-50 meters apart from each other. Attach the included reflectors to increase the ladder’s visibility in darkness. The ladder should reach a minimum of 1meter below the surface at low tide, to ensure its accessibility at all times.
